Early Life
Davolee, whose real name is Shokoya Oluwasegunfunmi but who is better known by his stage name, is a 27-year-old Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. While Davolee’s family is from Ogun State, he was born and raised in the Lagos State neighborhood of Isolo. Davolee, who was born on May 18, 1995, gained fame after releasing the freestyle “Festival Bar.”
Career
For financial reasons, Davolee was unable to continue his formal schooling and instead pursued his lifelong dream of being a musician. He used to sell bottled water on the streets of Mushin, Lagos, before his fame as Davolee took off.
While hawking Pure water , he was frequently spotted freestyling and posting the results to Instagram; however, his big break came when he covered Desiigner’s hit song “Panda.” The talented artist’s life changed over time, and this was reflected in how well his work did as a whole.
Then, on the 12th of November, 2016, Davolee did a viral freestyle named “Festival Bar” for the first time, and Olamide called him up and officially announced his signing to YBNL via his Instagram page. Davolee gained notoriety after appearing in Olamide’s popular song “Pepper Dem Gang,” which was played on radio stations and garnered attention from music fans. It was reported on April 27th, 2019 that Davolee had left YBNL and was moving on with his life because he was no longer on good terms with the label’s boss, Olamide.

The consensus was that his resignation from YBNL was due to his dissatisfaction with the company’s management.
