Olubankole Wellington, popularly known by his stage name Banky W and credited in film as Banky Wellington (Banky W), is a Nigerian-American singer, rapper, actor, entrepreneur and politician.
The Nigeria base singer and entrepreneur just in talks about the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which is entitled to every Nigerian University and Polytechnic to serve and participate in their father’s land.
Banky W appeals to the Federal Government to make the Mandatory NYSC optional to the youths and graduates of either University or Polytechnic.
The Artist and Entrepreneur who is also pursuing his political career running for the House of Representatives (House of Reps) shared his thought in an interview with Channels TV.
He also stated that the school graduates show low or no interest in the program and end up bribing the officials in order to not participate.
Making it finale, Singer Banky W gave his own side view to the FG saying that “It is better to make it optional for interested person in order to save the government’s resources that can be used for other development in the country”.
