The National Industrial Court has taken a significant step by granting an interim order that prohibits the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) from commencing their planned strike on Wednesday. The court order will remain in effect until the motion on notice is resolved.
Justice O. Y. Anuwe made the decision and also scheduled the next hearing for June 19th, allowing for further proceedings on the matter. This development indicates the court’s intervention in the ongoing dispute between the NLC, TUC, and other relevant stakeholders, aiming to prevent the strike from taking place until all legal aspects are considered and addressed.
