Ajebo Hustlers, a Nigerian musical duo, have revealed that they faced discouragement from friends who advised them to quit music because they weren’t initially making a substantial income from the profession. The duo, originally from Port Harcourt, shared that their journey to stardom involved seeking accommodation from various family members and friends until they finally achieved success.
During an episode of the Afrobeats podcast hosted by Shopsydoo, the duo disclosed that in 2016, they stayed with K-Switch, the younger brother of singer D’banj. They further explained that in 2017, they faced challenges as their music career didn’t take off as expected. However, in 2018, they continued to persevere, and in 2019, they collaborated with King Perry on a record. At that time, they were still relying on temporary accommodations.
They recounted the difficult times they faced when friends questioned their decision to pursue music and suggested that they should consider other paths. Despite the discouragement, they remained determined to succeed and prove their worth in the music industry.
