For his continuous reckless statements on social media and allegedly claiming to be affiliated to the criminal group One Million Boys, Habeeb Okikiola also known as Portable has been disqualified and withdrawn from the coming award ceremony.
Mr. Habeeb Okikiola was eliminated from the list of 15 nominees by the Headies Organizer for reckless statements and such action was taken in order to send a clear message that irresponsible and impolite words are not acceptable.
“The music industry demands all-round excellence, and it is extremely important for young artists being potential role models to exude professional responsibility, proper decorum and have respect for others.”
The organizers claim that Portable was disqualified as a result of several offenses on his social media accounts.
Recall that on May 25, 2022, he vowed to kill, hurt, or otherwise negatively affect the other contenders for the same prizes he was up for if he did not win.
A statement for which he was reported to the police, then he apologized and was even visited by the Headies organizers.
Portable was nominated to compete in the “Rookie of the Year” and “Best Street-Hop Artiste” categories.
