Chinalurumogu Eze, a film journalist who was congratulated by Peter Obi for winning the 2023 Future Creative Leaders Academy (FCLA) for the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy, has expressed sadness after her visa application was refused at the French embassy.
In April, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, congratulated Chinalurumogu, a 300-level student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and encouraged her to represent Nigeria with determination.
However, in a recent tweet, Chinalurumogu shared her heartbreak, stating that the French embassy in Abuja denied her visa to travel and represent Nigeria in France. She described the days following the visa refusal as “crazy and shitty.” She expressed her disappointment and added that she believes the future holds more for her, using this challenge as part of her success story in the future.
Chinalurumogu’s visa refusal has prevented her from participating in the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy in the Cannes Lion Festival in France, despite being selected as the winner of the Future Creative Leaders Academy.
