Kenyan gospel singer, Kevin Kioko, widely known as Bahati, recently expressed his views on polygamy, stating that marrying only one wife might prevent many men from going to heaven. He made these remarks during a discussion on the “men’s corner” show with one of his employees named Baite.
Bahati passionately advocated for polygamy and questioned the biblical basis used by some pastors to promote monogamous marriages. In a video of their conversation shared on Diana Marua’s YouTube channel, Bahati challenged pastors to provide specific references from the Bible that restrict polygamy.
He pointed out that notable biblical figures like Solomon and David had multiple wives, and he wondered why some contemporary religious leaders emphasize the idea of having only one wife.
