Seun Kuti, a renowned Afrobeats vocalist, has shared the distressing ordeal he faced while in police custody. The Grammy Nominee was arrested after an altercation with a police officer and remained in custody for several days until his release on May 23rd.
In his account, Seun revealed that he was compelled to sleep on a cold, uncomfortable floor in a cell alongside other prisoners. However, he expressed that this experience was preferable to associating with politicians in what he referred to as the “Devil’s house.”
Seun expressed his thoughts by stating, “They made me sleep on a hard, cold floor, amidst prisoners, but it was still better than being in the company of politicians in the ‘Devil’s house.'”

Following his release, the singer has relocated to Switzerland, where he will embark on his European music tour.
