Reality star Groovy of BBNaija has finally responded to the criticism he has received for Beauty Tukura and Phyna.
During his stay in the BBNaija house, the reality TV star was involved in two relationships: one with Beauty, who was eliminated in the second week, and the other with Phyna, the season winner.
Contrary to the narrative propagated by some of his followers and colleagues, according to Groovy, who was gentle, devoted, and honest with himself during his time in the house, he was untrustworthy.
He stated this in an interview with Saturday Beats, emphasizing that it was incorrect for some of his ex’s admirers to allege that he lied to the ladies simply because things did not work out.
Groovy said; “I feel there has been a certain perception of me in the public as a result of the relationships I was in while in the house. All those talks about me not being genuine is something I want to clear up because I actually stayed true to myself. I was caring and loyal. I did not try to deceive anybody. I believed I could win the show, without necessarily having to do any of that.
“If I lose my mantle or hurt someone else in the process, what good is it to win the show? I believe that not everything works out and that certain things do. It is inaccurate to say that because things did not work out, I am not a real person. I’m not who they claimed me to be.
“I considered the reunion as a chance for people to put the hatchet down, vent their frustrations for the last time, and come to an understanding with one another. I feel like it was a continuation of what we did in the house.”
