Festus Keyamo, the former Minister of Labour and Employment, has expressed his thoughts on the findings of the committee established by Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo to investigate the saga involving JAMB and Ejikeme Mmesoma regarding her UTME result. Keyamo described Mmesoma as a brilliant girl and advised caution in not destroying her, emphasizing the need for counseling, correction, and guidance.
Investigation revealed that Mmesoma had falsified her score of 362, which was later confirmed to be 249. In a statement on his verified Twitter account, Keyamo noted that he deliberately waited for the investigation to conclude before commenting on the matter.
He further advised that Mmesoma’s parents should encourage her to publicly apologize to JAMB, her family, and Nigerians. Keyamo suggested that she be allowed to proceed with her admission based on her actual scores. He urged against perpetuating alternative narratives, stating that it was time to close this unfortunate chapter and move forward, while offering his plea.
