Born on April 4, 1957, Joaqun “Archibaldo” Guzmán Loera, also known as “El Chapo,” is a Mexican drug lord and former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.
This worldwide criminal organization specializes in difficult drug-related activities.
El Chapo is widely regarded as the world’s most powerful drug trafficker and the most influential drug lord in history.
He has successfully trafficked multiple tons of cocaine from Colombia to the United States via air, sea, and land.
Early Years
Joaqun “El Chapo” Guzmán was raised in an impoverished agricultural family in Sinaloa, Mexico, where he was born.
His parents were Emilio Guzmán Bustillos and Mara Consuelo Loera Pérez.
