The Lagos State government has selected Musiliu Akinsanya, well known as MC Oluomo, as the chairman of the Parks Management Committee.
Gbenga Omotoso, the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, announced MC Oluomo’s appointment in a statement.
“Lagos Government Establishes Parks Management Committee,” read the statement.
The appointment, according to the State administration, was made in order to ensure that events in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) did not undermine law and order in the state.
He stated that the government owed all citizens and visitors the task of maintaining peace in the state.
Hakeem Odumosu, a former Assistant Inspector-General of Police, has been chosen as the government’s liaison officer with the committee.
Dr. Taiwo Salaam, an ex-Permanent Secretary, was also named as the committee’s secretary, with Sulyman Ojora as the Deputy Chairman.
Members of the group, he claims, were chosen after conversations with stakeholders in the industry.
Mr Hakeem Odumosu (AIG Rtd) serves as Government Liaison Officer; Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya serves as Chairman; Alhaji Sulyman Ojora serves as Deputy Chairman; and Dr. Taiwo Olufemi Salaam serves as Secretary.
Remember that MC Oluomo was fired as NURTW’s Lagos chairman on Wednesday.
