On June 28, 1988, Leon Balogun entered the world in Berlin, West Germany. His Yoruba father is from Nigeria, and his German Mom is his mother. He comes from a Roman Catholic family.

Hannover 96 faced Hamburger SV on April 19th, 2009, and Leon made his Bundesliga debut for the club that day.
From there, he went on to play for Fortuna Düsseldorf, Darmstadt 1998, and Brighton & Hove Albion. The 22nd of May, 2020, was the day he officially became a member of the second group.
On January 31, 2020, he inked a loan deal with Wigan Athletic that will keep him with the club for a full six months. On July 24, 2020, he signed a year-long contract with the Scottish club Rangers.
In March of 2014, he made his first appearance for his country’s national team. A substitute for Joseph Yobo, he was brought up to the big leagues. In this match, two African nations, Nigeria and Cameroon, squared off in a friendly contest.
On March 25, 2020, he made his second appearance for Nigeria. Nigeria and Uganda are playing each other in a soccer match.
In June of 2018, he was selected as one of Nigeria’s 23 starting players for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
He will also be representing his country at the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The National Team has seen him play 32 times.
