Seun Kuti mocked comedian AY Makun in response to a skit performed by fellow comedian Bovi.
The skit, which humorously portrayed a negotiation with kidnappers for the release of abducted Nigerian celebrities, gained attention on social media.
In the video, Bovi is seen bargaining for the release of various celebrities, offering substantial amounts for some, and comically suggesting a lower sum, N250k, for Seun Kuti. The abductor, dissatisfied with the amount, threatened to harm Seun if Bovi mentioned it again, and Bovi persistently repeated “250, 250” as part of the comedic narrative.
In a recent Instagram live session, Seun Kuti commended Bovi for his cleverness and made a comparison with AY Makun, playfully describing him as not particularly skilled in comedy.
