Prominent actor and comedian, Williams Uchemba, has shared a heartfelt message as he mourns the passing of his mother.
The public figure, who lost his mother two months ago, reflected on how profoundly her teachings impacted his life.
Uchemba underscored the enduring influence of her guidance on his Christian faith and beliefs in his tribute.
In his extensive tribute dedicated to his mother, he emphasized that her departure isn’t a final farewell, but rather an anticipation of being reunited later.
He expressed:
“Rest in Peace, Mom.
A short while before you passed away, you appeared to me in my room. You were physically present, yet your surroundings seemed like a different place—a place I’ve never witnessed before. You stood there, smiling at me.
There were other individuals around you whom I couldn’t recognize, but they were dancing jubilantly, as if they had won the lottery. While I immediately recognized you, something was different. You looked younger—just like when you were 27, your hair neatly combed and resting on your shoulders. I immediately pleaded with you to return, as we had been praying fervently for your recovery. In response, you spoke to me in Igbo, ‘Alaikiri’m ebe’m no, ebe’m no mara nma,’ which translates to ‘I like where I am, where I am is beautiful.’ Just after you uttered those words, a message arrived on my phone confirming that you had passed away.
At that moment, Matthew 5:4 came alive within me, reminding me that ‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.’ I felt an immensely comforting sensation in my heart.
The words from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 also resonated in my spirit: ‘But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.’
Your transition bolstered my Christian life, reigniting my faith and reminding me of the existence beyond this earthly realm. Your transition has permanently etched into my heart the understanding of heaven and hell, and I’m grateful that you’ve made it to the destination we all strive to reach.
You’ve successfully completed your journey here; you’ve fought the good fight of faith and arrived in the eternal glory of Jesus Christ.”
