Red dress is a song by the talented record producer, Magic.
The second full-length studio album by Canadian reggae fusion band MAGIC is titled Primary Colors! On July 1, 2016, Latium and RCA Records internationally published the album. It is the group’s second studio album after Don’t Kill the Magic (2014). The album’s lead hit, “Lay You Down Easy,” with Sean Paul, served as its centerpiece.
The group’s debut single, “Rude,” which was released in late 2013, went on to enjoy commercial success all over the world and spent six weeks at the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song had been in the top ten of the chart for 16 weeks. The sixth Canadian band to top the Billboard Hot 100 with “Rude” is Magic!, the first since Nickelback in 2001 with “How You Remind Me.” Don’t Kill the Magic, the group’s first studio album, was released on June 30, 2014.
The album reached its highest point at number 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and number 5 on the Canadian Albums Chart following its release. Following the release of their debut album, the group began a tour in support of it, playing at music festivals and colleges during 2014 and 2015.
From February to April 2015, the group supported Maroon 5 on their first leg of their Maroon V Tour.
On July 17, 2015, the band released the non-album song “#SundayFunday,” to mixed reviews and poor radio reception. In 2015, they started composing and recording their second studio album, which was completed in early 2016. The band released the song “Lay You Down Easy,” which features Sean Paul, a dancehall recording artist.
The band unveiled the Primary Colours album art cover on May 16. On April 12, 2016, the group made the album’s name, track listing, and release date official. The second single from the album, “Red Dress,” and accompanying music video were both made available on June 17, 2016.
