Beauty Tukura, a former housemate of Big Brother Naija Season 7, has asserted that her love for her fellow contestant, Groovy, was genuine despite the toxic nature of their relationship.
During the reunion show’s eighth episode titled ‘Level Up,’ which aired on Thursday night, Beauty emphasized that she was not playing games with Groovy and considered herself a realist.
She expressed, “My relationship with Groovy was real at that time. I was being genuine from start to finish. That’s just who I am. It wasn’t a game for me. I was simply being myself. This is how I am even outside the House. If I like you, I like you. If I don’t, I don’t.”
In his defense, Groovy stated that it was Beauty who body-shamed him and ended their relationship. He expressed his hurt over being labeled as a “player” by some of the housemates following the incident.
Groovy shared, “Let’s not forget that Beauty is an adult capable of making decisions. I was honest and genuine. I didn’t come with any games or ulterior motives. So, it really hurt me when some of the Level 2 people started saying that I was playing games. It isolated me from the group.”
He further lamented, “This is a lady [pointing to Beauty] who ended the relationship and body-shamed me.”
