Demola Odulaja, the former husband of the businesswoman Farida Sobowale, has leveled serious allegations against his ex-wife, claiming that she had intimate relations with 18 of his friends. This revelation follows Farida Sobowale’s recent suicide attempt on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
Farida Sobowale’s husband, Demola Odulaja, made these claims during an interview, linking his ex-wife’s suicidal act to the breakdown of their marriage. The UK-based businessman asserted that Farida had engaged in extramarital affairs with at least 18 of his acquaintances, including a neighbor of theirs.
In addressing the accusation of being a playboy that Farida had made against him, Demola Odulaja dismissed it as an attempt to divert attention from her own infidelity within their marriage.
In his own words:
“I am extremely wealthy; I live in a 22-bedroom mansion. If I count 20 of my friends, Farida has slept with 18. When I got back to Nigeria from abroad in 2009, Farida came to Lagos in 2010. That same year, I took her to the Chinese embassy with me so she could start traveling to buy and sell things from China. Me that she’s calling a gigolo.”
“In that same year, I told her to stop interacting with one of my friends. She went behind my back and continued to have relations with him even after I warned her. She even told my friend that I had instructed her to stop seeing him, and he confirmed this to me. I asked him not to disrespect Farida.”
“My brother is my neighbor, and Farida used to stay at his house. Additionally, an Alhaji in our area told me he was involved with Farida.” “Farida claimed that I’m a gigolo, but I live in a 22-bedroom mansion. My brother’s duplex is adjacent to my house, and Farida would spend time there. I asked her what she was doing there all the time, and if she intended to become involved with my brother.”
“I am not a gigolo. My father is extremely wealthy, and I have been flying first class for a long time. Anyone in London can confirm this. In 2015, Farida was in my house, and she even got married to her first husband, Tunde Shobowale, from my house. That same year, I was involved in politics, and I spent $2 million contesting for a seat in the House of Representatives. I had to withdraw due to political issues.”
“When I first met Farida, she was financially struggling. Once, while we were together, an Alhaji came knocking on my door to complain that I was having an affair with his girlfriend, Farida, and she was making too much noise.”
