The artist and producer duo behind Boundaries delve into various themes of love and relationships in their latest project. Phaemous, a rising star in the Nigerian R&B scene, joins forces with DJames, an internationally acclaimed DJ and producer who has collaborated with prominent artists such as Drake and The Weeknd.
The EP kicks off with the captivating track “MIA,” where Phaemous expresses his frustration about his love interest going missing, accompanied by DJames’ enchanting saxophone melodies. The infectious “What Is Love?” explores the universal question of whether love or money is what truly matters, driven by engaging drum patterns.
The Boundaries EP takes a more seductive turn with “First Time,” featuring jazzy keyboards and provocative lyrics. The project concludes with the sensual “Dreaming,” showcasing DJames’ skillful saxophone arrangements and live keyboard elements.
DJames has gained widespread recognition through his viral Afrobeats remixes, amassing a large following of over a quarter of a million on TikTok and Instagram.
Phaemous, known for his remarkable talent in the Afrobeats R&B genre, is also working on his eagerly anticipated second solo EP, Phæway Vol. 2, set for release later in 2023.
