During a media briefing held in Lagos on Friday, July 14, 2023, the organizers of Big Brother Naija announced the return of the show with an all-star edition featuring housemates from past seasons. The new season, set to premiere on Sunday, July 23, 2023, will be hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and will introduce some exciting changes.
Here are three key highlights to anticipate in the upcoming edition:
- Biggest cash reward: The winner of this season will receive a whopping ₦120 million, maintaining the show’s reputation for offering the largest cash prize in any reality competition on the continent. In addition to the cash reward, the winner will also receive other exciting prizes.
- Fave Lock-in: For the first time, fans will not only have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestants but also “lock in” their top three choices. This new feature allows fans to show their support in a more interactive way.
- Cash prizes for fans: In a special twist, 30 lucky fans of the show have a chance to win ₦1 million each by correctly predicting the winner. To be eligible, their chosen housemates must emerge as the ultimate winners.
Aside from these three changes, viewers can also look forward to the traditional Head of House challenge with a twist, engaging arena games, exciting pool parties, the popular Saturday night party, and a new game called the “Black Envelope Game.”
The BBNaija All-Star edition will run for 70 days, beginning on July 23 and ending on October 1, 2023. The show will premiere on all Africa Magic channels and GOtv channels before transitioning to dedicated Big Brother channels.
