Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, has openly admitted to resorting to dishonesty in both courtrooms and police stations on multiple occasions. He shared this confession on his Instagram story, proudly embracing his reputation for being candid and straightforward as the ‘African Giant.’
Burna Boy explained that he chose to tell lies in legal and law enforcement settings because he didn’t want to lose a case to someone he holds a strong dislike for. He emphasized that he holds an equal level of resentment for anyone who doesn’t like him or his personality, which is why he doesn’t hesitate to use deception in court.
In his own words, he stated, “The only times I ever lied was in courtrooms and police stations. If you don’t like me, I don’t like you more than you don’t like me. You can’t win.” This statement reflects Burna Boy’s unwavering self-confidence and his determination not to be defeated by those who oppose him.
