Early Life And Education
Kelechi is from the Ivo Local Government Area in the state of Ebonyi. In Bauchi State, he was born into a family of six, which included five boys and one girl.
Due to the fact that his father was a member of the Nigerian Army, he was raised in numerous locations, including Nasarawa, Kaduna, and Abuja. Tekno Miles joined a music school at the age of eight, where he learnt and mastered the fundamentals of playing the piano and guitar. He is the older sibling of the Nigerian musical act Spotless.
Musical Career
Tekno Miles was contracted to K-Money Entertainment initially. His breakthrough track “Holiday” was published on the label. With vocals by Davido, “Holiday” was well received and received extensive exposure.
Tekno Miles was discovered in 2012 by renowned Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu at an event in Abuja, where he received a standing ovation after performing his remix of Ice Prince’s “Oleku” named “Onye Ne Kwu.”
They became pals at the same event that he met Iyanya and Ubi Franklyn, the manager of Made Men Music Group. Tekno Miles was eventually pushed by Ubi and Iyanya to relocate to Lagos in order to develop his music career.
He got a recording contract with Made Men Music Group (MMMG) on October 5, 2013, under which he recorded singles such as “Dance” and “Anything.”
These singles garnered him a nomination at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards for “Best New Act of the Year.”
Tekno Miles released his hit track “Duro,” which was created by DJ Coublon, on June 18, 2015. “Duro” was well welcomed in both Africa and the United States.
On November 16, 2015, a remix featuring Phyno and Flavour N’abania was released. On the international market, it reached number 5 on Capital XTRA’s Afrobeats Chart: Top 10 for September 2015, and it topped other charts in Nigeria.
The single “Wash” was released by Tekno Miles on November 20, 2015. DJ Coublon produced the song, while AJE Filmworks directed the video.
Billboard named Tekno one of the top ten hip-hop and R&B artists to watch in the United States in 2017 on December 27, 2016.
In 2016, Elton John featured Tekno’s “Diana” on an edition of his Apple Music radio show Rocket Hour.
However, on October 13, 2017, DJ Cuppy collaborated with Tekno on a song titled Green Light, which was DJ Cuppy’s debut single.
The American rapper Drake posted photos of himself with Tekno to Instagram on December 12, 2017 with the comment “Tekkk time.”
On 10 August 2018, American singer Ciara collaborated with Nigerian rapper Tekno on a song named “Freak Me.”
Friday on his Instagram account @teknoofficial, Tekno announced the song’s release and showed the artwork.
On Thursday, August 15, 2019, it was confirmed that Tekno was one of the producers of “Won’t Be Late” by Swae Lee featuring Drake.
Tekno inked a distribution deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGN), the branch of Universal Music Group responsible for West Africa, and Island Records in June 2018.
“Don’t Jealous Me” by Tekno was featured on Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift album in July 2019.
Tekno unveiled the track listing for his long-awaited first album, Old Romance, on December 6, 2020.

Personal Life
In May of 2018, Tekno and his girlfriend Lola Rae welcomed a daughter.
Tekno declared his permanent relocation to the United States in 2020.
This was a response to the June 2 announcement that the Nigerian National Assembly had tabled a proposal to change the country’s name to UAR, an acronym for United African Republic or United Alkebulan Republic.
In 2017, Tekno disclosed to the public that he suffers from acid reflux. The disease had progressed to the point where it impacted his vocal cords. He needs surgery to address the issue.
