Ogun 10th Assembly to be inaugurated Tuesday

According to today news, the 10th Ogun State House of Assembly is scheduled to be inaugurated on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

This follows the dissolution of the 9th Assembly and a proclamation issued by Governor Dapo Abiodun for the commencement of the first session of the 10th Assembly. In accordance with Section 105(1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the inauguration will involve the election of the Speaker and other presiding officers. Additionally, members-elect from the 26 state constituencies in Ogun will be sworn in during the ceremony.

The event will take place at 10 am in the Assembly Complex in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, with the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service, Deji Adeyemo, requesting all attendees to be seated by 9:30 am.
