Jerry Williams has been indefinitely suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) due to his involvement with illegal substances. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the guild, announced the decision in a statement released on Thursday. Rollas explained that the AGN had been monitoring Williams‘ engagement with illicit substances since December of the previous year, and the situation had escalated to a concerning level.
He further mentioned that the guild had initially opted for minor treatments for Williams but stated that he had repeatedly failed to comply with the treatment. Rollas emphasized that the decision to suspend Williams was taken after observing that his actions posed a risk not only to himself but also to other actors who might work alongside him. The president stated that Williams would remain suspended until he received a clean bill of health from a medical practitioner or a professional specializing in drug abuse.
