The highly anticipated project “House of Ga’a” is a period epic film featuring John Njaga Demps as the director of photography. Bolanle Austin-Peters, the director and theatre producer, recently shared a sneak peek from the film set and expressed excitement, hinting that something special is in the making.
Based on the title, the movie is rumored to revolve around the story of Bashorun Gaa, the Prime Minister of the Old Oyo Empire, who is believed to have ruled during the 17th/18th century.
This new project follows Austin-Peters‘ previous film, “Man of God,” which recently received the Best Actress award at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA). The film, which is an original production by Netflix, also received nominations for Best Director and Best Costume Designer.
