Tiwa Savage, an acclaimed Nigerian singer, recently shared her experience of almost letting nervousness ruin her performance at the momentous coronation of King Charles III of Britain.
In March, Tiwa Savage made history as the first Nigerian artist to perform at a British royal event, captivating the audience at the coronation concert and Big Lunch for King Charles III. During a recent appearance on the Good Morning Britain TV show, she candidly admitted to feeling nervous during the initial moments of her performance at Windsor Castle.
Reflecting on the experience, Tiwa Savage expressed how beautiful it was to represent the Commonwealth and have the opportunity to grace the stage on such an occasion. She acknowledged that she felt anxious for the first few seconds but quickly reminded herself to be swept away by the crowd as she began singing.
Known as the ‘Queen of afrobeats,’ Tiwa Savage also shared her positive impression of the British Queen Consort, Camilla, describing her as “very lovely” during the show. The talented singer had the chance to meet the Queen Consort before her historic performance at the coronation ceremony.
