Nigerian singer and former Mavins Records signee, Hadiza Blell, widely known as Di’Ja, has addressed rumors surrounding her departure from the record label.
The 39-year-old artist made it clear that she had not left Mavins Records and took the opportunity to express her support for the emerging star, Tems. The conversation arose when a fan questioned the reasons behind Di’Ja’s departure from Don Jazzy’s label, speculating that she could have achieved even greater success than Tems.
Di’Ja promptly responded, setting the record straight by stating, “I never left. Kindly know this. Life happens, and we are grateful for all the love and happenings. God bless Tems, and I need her to get bigger.”
In celebration of her birthday, Di’Ja shared videos on Twitter, showcasing the thoughtful gifts she received, including a cake from Mavins Records.
Expressing her gratitude, she wrote, “Thank you to my family, friends, and family at Mavin for my cakes. I must gain weight this year.”
Di’Ja initially joined Mavins Records in February 2014 and made her debut with the single “Yaro.” Throughout her tenure with the label, she collaborated with fellow Mavins artists on hit tracks like “Dorobucci,” “Adaobi,” “Looku Looku,” and “Arise.”
With her clarification, Di’Ja has put to rest any lingering rumors and reaffirmed her ongoing association with Mavins Records, leaving fans relieved and eager to witness potential future collaborations.
