Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has broken her silence following the jail sentence of TikToker Okoye Blessing Nwakego, who had falsely accused her of being a pimp and faced legal consequences for her actions.
Eniola Badmus had previously taken legal action against Nwakego for making baseless claims, resulting in Nwakego being sentenced to three years in prison or a fine of N150,000 by a federal high court in Lagos.
Addressing the issue on Instagram, Eniola questioned the motives behind defaming others without any evidence or facts. She reflected on her own experiences of being body-shamed due to her plus-size figure and criticized for her political choices during an election.
Eniola urged people to show more respect and understanding towards others, emphasizing that celebrities are human beings with feelings and vulnerabilities. She called for empathy and consideration, pointing out that negative comments online can contribute to depression and low self-esteem, especially when they lack any basis in truth.
In her post, Eniola highlighted the importance of allowing people to live their lives and respecting their choices, just as she advocates for her own personal space and dignity.
