Tayo Faniran, a former Big Brother Africa runner-up and actor, has outlined the criteria that must be met by a movie script and producer for him to accept an acting role.
During an interview with Hip TV, Faniran explained that there are specific factors he considers when evaluating a movie script. The most crucial factor for him is the role he would play in the story.
He stated, “The first thing I look for when I receive a script is my positioning in the story. I believe I have what it takes to be a lead actor. I strive to be the best in my craft. I search for a character that will showcase my potential, which often falls under the lead or supporting lead category.”
Additionally, Faniran expressed his desire to avoid being typecast into specific roles such as playboy, lover boy, or villain. He seeks diversity and roles that will allow him to demonstrate his versatility as an actor.
Furthermore, he considers the reputation and quality of the film’s producers. He questions whether the film will receive widespread attention and make a positive impact on his career. Finally, he weighs the financial aspect, evaluating whether the compensation is worth his time.
It is worth mentioning that Tayo Faniran recently made his blockbuster debut in the Amazon Prime Video original series ‘Gangs Of Lagos,’ where he portrayed the character Ninalowo, also known as Nino, a notorious but kindhearted gang leader in Isale Eko.
