Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has completed a seven-day traditional rite to honor his new chieftaincy title in his hometown of Ijebu-Ode. He was seen dressed in white regalia and adorned with leopard skin as he exited his Ojushagbola family house alongside his wife, Emmanuella Ropo.
The title, “Olori Omo Oba Akile Ijebu,” was bestowed upon K1 by the Awujale of Ijebu Land, HRM Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba Agbotewole II. This title, previously held by the late Balogun, carries significant cultural and traditional significance and symbolizes the strength and dignity of the Ijebu people.
K1 De Ultimate’s attainment of this prestigious title reflects his substantial contributions to the enhancement of Ijebuland’s reputation and, by extension, the entire Yorubaland. Prior to this latest honor, he had already been bestowed with the title of Mayegun of Yorubaland, further solidifying his status as a respected figure in the Yoruba community.
The traditional rite and chieftaincy title represent a significant recognition of K1 De Ultimate’s achievements and contributions to his community and culture.
