On Sunday morning, the well-known rap artist Olamide humorously shared his thoughts on the heavy traffic in Lagos state, playfully mentioning how pastors benefit from churchgoers’ contributions. He jokingly suggested that with the immense wealth in Lagos, even God might consider calling him, as he believes he can handle multiple tasks.
Following his statement, concerned Nigerians expressed their opinions on Olamide’s social media page:
@temitopepr: “Pastors are really cashing out. If it were based on ordinary prayers, prayer warriors would be the richest. Pastors should share the secret!”
@ayomide0101: “Badoo, I’ll be a drummer; I was the first to ask you just in case God calls you.”
@LupinIkenga: “Let’s see if any other celebrity dares to tweet ‘Imams are cashing out, no lies.’ I bet the reaction won’t be the same. Christians always seem to be easy targets, while you all stay silent when it concerns Muslims and Islam. Cowardice at its peak!”
@realtimmywrld: “If church offerings hit your account five times, you’ll have more money than Dangote.”
@lifeofOliver_: “Seriously, the way traffic fills up Lagos, you’ll realize that Nigeria is indeed rich! Everywhere is congested!”
