Victony, the sensational Nigerian singer also known as Anthony Victor, recently shared that he underwent his final surgery in January this year to regain his mobility.
Last year, Victony narrowly escaped death in a devastating car accident that resulted in one fatality and left three others injured. The accident left him in a wheelchair for approximately a year.
During a recent conversation with reality star Tacha on Cool FM, Lagos, the singer, who is now back on his feet, revealed that he is doing perfectly fine after his most recent surgery.
The talented artist, known for his hit song ‘Soweto,’ mentioned, “I recently had my last surgery, which I underwent in January. Thankfully, everything has been going well for me since then, all thanks to God.”
Victony also shared that his passion for music developed from a very young age. When asked by Tacha about what sparked his interest in pursuing music, he replied, “I think it was something innate. Ever since I was a baby, my mom used to play BlackStreet Boyz to soothe me whenever I cried. I can’t pinpoint a specific moment when I started or when the inspiration struck me. I’ve just always loved music.”
The singer expressed his intention to blend old-school music and fashion with modern Afrobeat influences in his work, showcasing a unique fusion of styles.
