Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a well-known media personality, recently expressed his perspective on fame during an interview on Channels TV’s program, Rubbin’ Minds. He described fame as a “necessary evil” that accompanies having a public career, emphasizing that he never actively sought it and doesn’t particularly enjoy being famous.
While acknowledging the advantages that come with fame, Ebuka stated that if given a choice, he would prioritize his career and the financial benefits it brings, while opting out of the fame aspect.
As a father of two, Ebuka shared, “I have never been a fan of fame. And if you know me, I think you can tell. But I have also understood that it comes with what I do. I have never courted fame. I have never chased fame. I have never really sought attention. So, most times, if you see me being talked about, it’s because of my work, not because of something unrelated to it.”
Although Ebuka acknowledged the perks of fame, he made it clear that he has never genuinely enjoyed it. He recognizes that fame is an inevitable consequence of having a public career but views it as a necessary aspect rather than a personal preference.
Summing up his stance, Ebuka expressed his desire to choose a career that brings financial stability without the burden of fame.
