Kate Henshaw, a prominent Nollywood actress, did not remain silent in response to the significant criticism she faced for hosting a fundraiser for APC Governor Hope Uzodinma. Many were surprised by her role as a host at the event, given her strong support for the Labour party government and her previous criticisms of the APC leadership.
In Owerri, Imo State, on Thursday night, Kate Henshaw, along with comedian Okey Bakassi, organized a fundraising event for the APC governor, Hope Uzodinma, who is seeking re-election as the governor of Imo state. The purpose of the fundraiser was to raise funds for the governor’s campaign.
Kate Henshaw wrote:
“Someone called me this morning to check the X app. I was invited to host a fundraiser alongside my colleague. I accepted, my prerogative. What is the noise about? The difference btw you and me is that I will still speak my truth as I see fit. End of”.
“Coffee & water time Biko. Let me wake myself up. It was a long night”.
