Sam Nnabuike, a Nollywood actor, has taken aim at media personality Noble Igwe for disparaging his colleague Yul Edochie’s career change.
Remember how Noble Igwe criticized Yul Edochie for using the X platform to frequently switch careers?
He pondered how an actor might decide to pursue real estate after waking up one day and then, a few months later, become a church pastor.
Sam Nnabuike responded by criticizing Noble Igwe, saying that although he was smart, he disappointed him by saying that it is not appropriate for an actor to go into other economic ventures.
He added that it is somewhat malicious that people don’t feel actors should have a life outside acting.
In his words: “It is not only appalling that someone I thought was intelligent in the person of Noble Igwe would think it is a bit off for an actor to venture into other businesses, but It is also somewhat malicious that people don’t feel actors should have a life outside acting. What is wrong in seeking to delve into other businesses, especially with the constraints of the present economy? Na still Una go say male actors are not doing enough like their female counterparts, Na still Una go say, what is an actor doing delving into another profession. Let thespians breathe for goodness sake.”
