Following the tragic passing of Mohbad, Lil Smart, his close friend and former member of the Marlian group, has taken to social media to share his own harrowing experiences of abuse and mistreatment inflicted by Sam Larry and the Marlian’s collective.
During an Instagram live session with Arowealth, the CEO of Lilo’s lounge and bar, Lil Smart expressed his distress, saying, “I have witnessed enough, my brother, I have seen enough.”
Lil Smart, alongside Arowealth, recounted the ill-treatment he endured from certain members of the Marlian group, who, masked and unidentifiable, violently assaulted him at his private residence in Agungi. He named individuals like Shuddy, Lil Frosh, and Subomi as some of the assailants.
He also revealed that Sam Larry had him arrested and filed petitions against him for allegedly spreading false information about the Marlians. However, Lil Smart maintained that he had evidence to support his claims.
After being taken to the Ilasan police station, where no incriminating evidence was found, Lil Smart was transferred to the Zone 2 Lagos Island station, which he believes has close ties to Sam Larry. There, he was unlawfully detained and coerced into paying a sum of 500,000 Naira for his release, under the threat of being held over the weekend.
Following his release, he faced additional demands for 500,000 Naira for legal fees, which he refused to comply with. Lil Smart stressed that he had shared these incidents on social media when they occurred and had even posted video footage as evidence. He also implied that Mohbad’s reluctance to share his own ordeals may have contributed to his tragic demise.
