Primeboy, the childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, has alleged that Mohbad’s wife is trying to frame him in connection with the singer’s death as he addresses being wanted by the police.
The Nigerian police had earlier released a wanted poster for Primeboy, offering a ₦1 million reward for anyone with useful information about his whereabouts.
Primeboy, who has since surrendered to the police, was interviewed by reporters from TVC News.
He expressed his bewilderment upon hearing the news that he was wanted by the police, as he claimed they had never invited him for questioning.
Primeboy vehemently denied any involvement in the death of his childhood friend, Mohbad, and recounted the last moments he spent with him.
According to Primeboy, Mohbad had invited him to hang out on the island, and during the visit, Mohbad mentioned a show he was planning to attend.
Primeboy explained that at one point during their outing, Mohbad asked him to step out of the car they were in while he had an argument with his wife about an unspecified matter.
He lamented that Mohbad’s wife had been making statements online, attempting to frame him and implicate him in the situation.
