Kiddwaya, the third contestant to be evicted from the BBNaija All Stars show, recently shared a harrowing near-death experience caused by a misdiagnosis and incorrect medication during a candid interview with media personality Hero Daniels.
In his account, Kiddwaya revealed that he had experienced anxiety attacks in 2020 following his participation in the ‘Lockdown’ season of Big Brother Naija. However, he had been prescribed high blood pressure medication mistakenly for a period of three months.
Kiddwaya recounted the alarming incident, explaining that during the COVID-19 pandemic, he began to feel unwell. He described symptoms like trembling legs and a dry tongue, which made him suspect that he had contracted COVID-19. Consequently, he contacted his doctor.
Upon examination, it was discovered that his blood pressure (BP) had spiked to an extremely high level, around 180, leading to concern. Despite the uncertainty about the cause, the doctors prescribed BP medication and continued it for three months.
However, this was a misdiagnosis, as Kiddwaya was actually suffering from anxiety attacks, which had temporarily elevated his BP levels. The prolonged use of BP medication that he didn’t need could have had severe consequences on his health.
Kiddwaya shared his near-death experience due to a misdiagnosis and the incorrect administration of medication during a period of anxiety, emphasizing the potential danger of improper medical treatment.
