Lolade Okusanya, a Nollywood actress, has shared that her mother gave her approval to play an erotica role in Toyin Abraham’s latest movie, ‘Ijakumo.’
Okusanya took on the character of Sharon, an undercover stripper, in this crime thriller. During her appearance on TVC’s program, Your View, she explained that she had sent her mother and siblings pictures of strippers and informed them about her upcoming role. She expressed that her family was mentally prepared to see her portray such a character.
Okusanya emphasized that while playing the role, she immersed herself in the character and detached from her personal identity. She also mentioned that she had already discussed the role with the important people in her life, including her mother, sister, brother, and others, assuring them that it was akin to what one might see on Netflix.
Her family members were understanding and supportive, and she appreciated their unwavering support amidst any potential backlash from social media.
