American rapper Nicki Minaj has been taken to court by West Hollywood jeweler, Roseark Jewelry store, over alleged damages caused to custom jewelry. According to reports, the jeweler has accused Minaj of refusing to pay for the damages to a piece of jewelry that was loaned to her.
The lawsuit claims that Minaj’s stylist, Brett Alan Nelson, signed a contract with Roseark Jewelry Store, in which the store agreed to loan the rapper the jewelry for a public appearance. However, the contract stipulated that the jewelry should be returned within a week and that any damages incurred would be the responsibility of the stylist.
The jeweler alleges that when the stylist returned the 66 pieces of jewelry, noticeable damages were present on a set of earrings and a leaf ring. Despite this, the stylist refused to pay for the damages.
Minaj’s attorney has denied the allegations, stating that the rapper is not responsible for the damages and suggesting that the jeweler is seeking to use her for publicity.
The outcome of the legal proceedings will determine the resolution of the dispute between Nicki Minaj, her stylist, and Roseark Jewelry store.
