Fuji music stars Alabi Pasuma and KS1 Malaika joined a gathering of actors, friends, family, and well-wishers at the eighth-day Fidau prayer to honor the late Murphy Afolabi. The solemn event took place at the blue roof hall in LTV 8, Ikeja, Lagos. Notable actors such as Yinka Quadri, Muyiwa Ademola, Akeem Alimi, Olaniyi Afonja (Sanyeri), and Eniola Badmus were also present to pay their respects.
Upon Pasuma’s arrival, he warmly greeted the actors and was given a seat at their table. The Islamic clerics at the high table acknowledged his presence, recognizing him as a prominent figure in the industry. It is worth noting that Pasuma previously held the eighth-day Fidau prayer for his mother at the same venue in April.
Actresses Fausat Balogun and Eniola Badmus also attended the gathering to honor the late Murphy Afolabi.
Meanwhile, Yoruba actor Ifeoluwa Gbadegeshin, popularly known as Mr Fresh, provided additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding Murphy Afolabi’s passing. Contrary to widespread speculation, Gbadegeshin clarified that Afolabi did not suffer a head injury in his bathroom, as initially reported.
During the funeral, Gbadegeshin explained that Murphy was in the process of recovering from an illness. While preparing to take a bath, he suddenly vomited and collapsed. Despite immediate efforts to assist him, it was tragically too late.
The revelation by Gbadegeshin sheds light on the true cause of Murphy Afolabi’s untimely demise, dispelling earlier rumors and providing a clearer understanding of the circumstances surrounding his passing.
