The Lagos State police have provided an update on their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the late musician Mohbad and what was discovered in his Lekki apartment during a press conference held on Friday, October 6.
The Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa, disclosed that several members of the Nigerian Police Force visited Mohbad’s residence in Lekki, Lagos State, as part of their investigation. Their objective was to obtain CCTV footage documenting the activities that occurred in the singer’s home before his passing.
Unfortunately, the police found that the CCTV camera in the apartment was broken, which prevented them from obtaining potential insights into what happened on the day of the incident.

However, during their search of the singer’s home, the police did discover syringes and drug residue. These items were identified as having been used by the assistant nurse who was responsible for Mohbad’s treatment.
The police’s findings suggest that there may have been medical-related issues surrounding Mohbad’s death, but the broken CCTV camera has made it difficult to gather more information about the circumstances leading up to the tragedy.
