Mohammad Baydoun, a popular Lebanese chef known as Amazing Chef, has revealed the reason behind his decision to relocate to Nigeria and pursue his culinary career there.
In an interview with The Guardian, Baydoun shared that he moved to Lagos, Nigeria because he received a job offer. He expressed his fondness for the country and its vibrant atmosphere, stating that Nigeria has an amazing energy that he can match.
Baydoun also mentioned the favorable conditions in Nigeria that contribute to his enjoyment of working there. He praised the country’s rich soil, clean air, and quality water, which allow for the growth of exceptional fruits, vegetables, and meats.
Renowned as ‘Amazing Chef’ on social media, Baydoun relocated to Nigeria in 2018. During his time in the country, he developed a fondness for local Nigerian dishes such as Amala (yam flour), Gbegiri (bean soup), and Ewedu (jute leaf soup). His culinary journey in Nigeria has been influenced by the country’s unique food culture and ingredients.
