The Compton rapper who recently released his first studio project “Please excuse me for being Antisocial” is having a good time as his Album lands at No. 1 Billboard 200.
According to Nielsen Music, Ricch’s new album, which features songs like “Tip Toe” and “The Box,” racked up 101,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Dec. 12. The album beat out other competitors like Camila Cabello’s Romance album, which sold 86,000 units and the late XXXTentacion’s Bad Vibes Forever album, which sold 65,000 units….XXLMag
He recently got nominated for two Grammy awards. One with Nipsey hussle “Racks in the middle” and the other with Mustard “Balling”
According to Roddy Ricch, he didn’t actually take Racks in the middle seriously until Nipsey hussle picked it up and made it a hit.
He said:
“All my songs mean something to me. They like my kids, but that one, I hold very much close value to it,” Ricch said. “I didn’t even like it at first. I just made the hook and I left it. And Nipsey picked it up and really did his thing with it… That song just been meaning a lot to me lately, you know, like, I can really feel everything we was saying.”
