Controversial Afropop singer, Portable, has recounted what transpired in Italy where a show promoter allegedly took all the cash that was sprayed on him during a show.
In a recent incident, Portable was seen making a scene in Italy after the show promoter reportedly confiscated the cash that appreciative fans had sprayed on him. The video showed Portable charging at the promoter’s car and kicking it in anger as the organizer attempted to drive away.
Portable explained that after his performance, the show organizers refused to give the money that was sprayed to his promoters, which led to the altercation. This incident highlights the financial and contractual complexities that can arise in the music industry.
He was told that the show organizers informed his promoters that the money that was sprayed on the singer doesn’t belong to him, but the show organizers; whereas money that was put into Portable’s pocket belongs to him.
Portable lamented that the cash the organizers had filled sacks and cartons but what he had in his pocket was very small.
