Seasoned Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has found herself under scrutiny as content creator VeryDarkMan accused her of being involved in fraudulent and untruthful advertising practices.
Notably, VeryDarkMan had previously criticized actress Nkechi Blessing for promoting a skincare product without a NAFDAC number, sparking a wider conversation about celebrities endorsing products they may not actually use.
VeryDarkMan contended that many celebrities, including Uche Jombo, endorse products merely for financial gain, taking advantage of the trust their followers place in them. These followers purchase these items with the belief that they are genuine and safe for their skin.
Specifically addressing Uche Jombo, VeryDarkMan alleged that the actress used filters while advertising skincare products, and he pointed out that she appeared to be wearing makeup in one such video. He asserted that Uche Jombo was misleading her followers by implying that her glowing skin was solely due to the product when it may not have been the case.
In his critique, VeryDarkMan stated, “You are a fraud, and this is a fraud advertisement and its wickedness. You obviously don’t use that cream, but because of your naive and gullible followers, they gush over your skin, and you want to sell it to them and lie to them because of small money. Something that will later damage their skin wickedness.”
