Funke Akindele
Akindele-Bello Olufunke Ayotunde, also known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa, is a Nigerian film actress and producer. She was born on August 24, 1977.
From 1998 to 2002, Akindele starred in the sitcom I Need to Know. In 2009, she won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Childhood and education
Funke Akindele was born on August 24, 1977, in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.
She is the middle kid of three (two girls and one boy).
Her mother is a physician, whereas her father is a retired principal. Additionally, she has a sister whose name is Abimbola Maria Akindele.
Funke Akindele attended Grace Children’s School, Gbagada, Lagos State.
She earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mass Communication from the now-defunct Ogun State Polytechnic, formerly known as Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. She graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in law.
Funke Akindele’s Career
I Need to Know, a popular sitcom funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) from 1998 to 2002, propelled Funke Akindele to fame. She portrayed Bisi, an inquisitive but intelligent high school student.
In 2008, Funke Akindele had her breakthrough role in the film Jenifa.
Funke Akindele revealed in an interview in July 2016 that she was acting less in the Yoruba film industry due to piracy.
Along with Fisayo Ajisola, Falz, Juliana Olayade, and Aderounmu Adejumoke, Funke Akindele plays the lead role in the ongoing and successful television series Jenifa’s Diary.
The show is a continuation of the film Jenifa. Funke Akindele and Omoni Oboli co-star in the 2018 comedy Moms at War.
In July of 2019, Funke Akindele launched Aiyetoro Town, a spinoff of her hit television series Jenifa’s Diary. She is the chief executive officer of Scene One Film Production.
She made her directing debut with the 2019 film Your Excellency, a political drama.

On May 26, 2012, Funke Akindele married Adeola Kehinde Oloyede. In July 2013, the couple divorced, citing irreconcilable differences. Funke Akindele married Nigerian rapper JJC Skillz in London in May 2016.
Funke Akindele has three children, including her twin, Tamira Bello, Benito Bello, and Josiah Bello.

In December of 2018, Funke Akindele gave birth to twin boys. She also has several stepchildren.
