NoLay Biography
NoLay (born 1 December 1985), sometimes known as Isabella Gotti, is an English lyricist, singer, and composer from South London. Natalie Athanasiou is her real name, but people sometimes call her Bella Gotti.
She broke through on the UK urban scene as a member of Unorthodox, who released the group’s debut underground single and music video, No Help No Hand Outs.
Later, NoLay began working on solo projects, and Warner Bros. published her debut grime single, Unorthodox Daughter. The song entered the MTV Hip Hop Chart after being broadcast on television.

Early Years
NoLay was born on December 1, 1985 in Croydon, England. She is of Caribbean descent and a South London native.
She dove in headfirst as soon as she discovered she was talented in music.With the release of her track “Unorthodox Daughter,” she has become one of the top female rap artists in England.
Since then, NoLay has received support and interviews from media sites such as MTV. Her music has been played on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1 Xtra, and BBC Radio 1 (Scotland).

Career
NoLay debuted on the British urban scene as a member of the Unorthodox group. The 2005 release of No Help or Handouts by Unorthodox, which gained the attention of major labels, made her debut solo album Unorthodox Daughter possible.
The song was on the Warner imprint label 679 Recordings compilation Run The Road, which came out in 2005. It had songs by UK grime artists Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Kano, and others.
The label also sent record stores a vinyl containing just Plan B and Nolay to promote the release. Due to the popularity of Run The Road, 679 put out a second volume in 2006, which again included NoLay’s song “Unorthodox Chick.”
She was Mobb Deep and the Infamous Mobb’s opening act. She appeared on the 2006 single Fuck Disco by the Australian electronic rock band The Bumblebeez, and the two have toured Europe together. In 2009, she performed as a guest on the album Better Than Heavy by Mongrel. She also worked with Tricky on his 2014 album Adrian Thaws and went on tour with him in Europe.
In the 2013 Channel 4 television drama Top Boy, she portrayed Mandy. Dris’s girlfriend and key character was Mandy, the mother of his child.
After a decade of releasing a dozen EPs and mixtapes, in 2017, shereleased the album This Woman, which was preceded by the domestic violence-themed music video for the song Dancing With The Devil.
Kalas, which appears on the third track listing on her seven-track hip-hop/rap album Kalas, was released by NoLay in 2021, according to NOW Entertainment Magazine.

NoLay’s lifelong boyfriend, Markus Imboden, is the object of her affection. After dating Markus for some time, NoLay married Markus Imboden.
