Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike (born October 9, 1986), best known by his stage name Phyno Fino, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Nigeria. In 2003, he began his musical career as a producer and is recognized for rapping in Igbo.
In 2014, his debut studio album, No Guts, No Glory, was released. Four singles promoted the album: “Ghost Mode,” “Man of the Year,” “Parcel,” and “O Set.” Prior to it, he released the songs “What are you waiting for?” and “Multiply” with M.I, Mr. Raw, Timaya, and M.I.
Phyno has collaborated with Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Bracket, J. Martins, and Mr. Raw, among others.

Early life and career
Although Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike is a native of Anambra State, he was born and raised in Enugu State. His high school friend gave him his stage name, which was formed from the word “extraordinary.”
Phyno’s interest in music production began during his secondary school years. He intended to become a pilot at first, but was advised he could become a doctor instead.
During secondary school, he learnt to play the piano and drums. He also had the ability to compose his own renditions of any recording he heard.
In his second year at the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, where he studied public administration, he began to benefit from music. Phyno revealed to Ifeoma Onoye that Mr. Raw is one of the few individuals he admires.
In 2010, Phyno began rapping and moved to Lagos to continue his music career.
In 2012, Phyno started recording his debut studio album, No Guts, No Glory.
Stormrex, Omawumi, Olamide, Efa, P-Square, Timaya, Flavour N’abania, Mr. Raw, MI, Ice Prince, and Runtown make guest appearances on the album. Primarily, it was captured in Igbo and Nigerian Pidgin.
On September 25, 2012, he released “Ghost Mode”, featuring Olamide, as the album’s lead single. It earned the award for Best Collaboration at both the 2012 and 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. The “Ghost Mode” music video was released on December 7, 2012.
It was filmed and directed by Clarence Peters in Lagos. The album’s second single, “Man of the Year (Obago),” was released by Sputnet Records on March 23, 2013. The song received the 2012 Headies Award for Best Rap Single.
On August 20, 2013, the music video for “Man of the Year (Obago)” was published on YouTube. Clarence Peters also shot and directed Abakpa Nike, which has a cameo appearance by Illbliss.
In September 2013, the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation prohibited the airing of the song’s video.
Personal affairs
In an interview with The Punch in 2014, Phyno disputed claims that he fathered a child with Rita Edmond.
