Cheque was born on March 23rd, 1995 in Ondo, a southern region of Nigeria, and he grew up in the city of Ondo.

Cheque graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, which is located in Osun State, one of the most prestigious universities in Nigeria.

Career
Cheque exploited the gap by entering into the music and entertainment industry, where it is customary for new talent to enter every second because the door is always open.
While still an undergraduate at the university, he found and invested in his musical skills.
Cheque began his career as a musician under the name Kyle B. His musical style was especially gospel hip hop.
Cheque attended the same school as others, such as Blaqbonez. During his music career as Kyle B, he collaborated with Dark Poet, Kursor, Blaqbonez, Toosleek, and Eclipse on Hennessy Cypher (Part VI).
In February of 2019, Phyno spotted him and quickly signed him to a recording contract with Penthauze Music.
The following month, which was March, his birth month, an introductory song, Nyem Space, was released for Cheque, which was a collaboration with one of the record label’s bands.
Cheque’s unique musical style, which incorporates afrobeat with rap, trap, and R&B, sets him apart from his peers. Jekasoro (a Yoruba phrase meaning “Let’s discuss”), Pain Away, and Abundance were released in June, while he was still credited to Penthauze Music.
On July 3, 2020, Cheque released the Razor EP (a 5-track EP containing the songs Zoom, Loco, Satisfied, Odun, and Hollywood), with Zoom serving as the lead single. The video for Zoom was directed by TG Omori, commonly known as the Boy Director, and filmed in Lagos.
